BETTY BOOP HAS A CELL PHONE

Portuguese mobile operator TMN has launched the Sony Ericsson Betty Boop handset within the framework of the 34 edition of the ModaLisboa, Lisbon Fashion Week.

Last March 12th the new mobile phone featuring Betty Boop, the great iconic image of sensuality and beauty, was released to the public. The animated cartoon doll will be the face of the new Sony Ericsson model W205 Betty Boop, a mobile phone with music associated services (Walkman Player and FM Radio) and 1.3 Mpx photographic camera. It also includes a special tariff plan for users mainly calling TMN numbers.

The Sony Ericsson W205 Betty Boop is exclusively available in the PT BlueStore shops and a new pink version that includes an extra case and a Betty Boop bag, can be acquired. Thus, TMN has managed to marry, in an almost irreverent way, the concept of technology and fashion through cartoonist Max Fleisher’s creation by transmitting her sensuality, glamour and independence with a product targeting young women and teenagers.
