GERONIMO AND THOMAS IN BIPLANO

Biplano associates with Hit Entertainment and Atlantyca Entertainment to represent Thomas & Friends and Geronimo Stilton respectively, in Spain and Portugal.

HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and distribution rights owner, has appointed Biplano as their agent to represent Thomas & Friends brand in Spain and Portugal.

Thomas & Friends invites children in more than 145 countries to enter a world of imagination centered around Thomas (everyone’s favorite little blue engine) so they may enjoy fun and adventures while experiencing timeless life lessons based in discovery, friendship and cooperation. Originally featured in books written by Rev. Awdry in England, Thomas continues to capture hearts and imaginations all over the world through a long-standing TV series, an impressive consumer product portfolio and a program of live events and attractions.

Focusing on boys aged 2 – 6 years, Thomas & Friends is the number one boys’ pre-school license in the U.K., US., Australia and Korea, and is worth $1.6 billion at retail while selling over 50 million DVDs and well over 200 million books. The hugely popular brand’s web www.thomasandfriends.com receives approximately 30 million page views each month.

On the other hand, Atlantyca Entertainment, a “cross-media” company based in Italy, has named Biplano as their exclusive licensing agent for Geronimo Stilton emblematic property, throughout Spain and Portugal.

Geronimo, the humble mouse managing the Rodent’s Gazette, Mouse Island’s most famous newspaper, writes adventure books and travels all over the world solving mysteries and helping those friends who need it, while transmitting to all children his ethic values like the family, friendship, altruism and loyalty. His books have been translated into 35 languages and are sold in over 170 countries.

This agreement grants Biplano rights to license the Geronimo Stilton brand across all categories except publishing and live shows.
